Kerryn's Week - Outdoors Boy

Hi there, welcome back to the blog.

I am sharing a page today that features my son on a lovely family day out. The boys took their bikes to ride and I went for a walk along the beach with my camera.

This page combines two of the new mini chipboard words, Outdoors and Boy to create my crazy slang title. The chipboard has been lightly covered with red ink and then the edges swiped with gold metallic rub.

The new mini words are a funky way to put together a longer title on your scrapbook pages, they are a must for your chipboard supplies.

Thanks for spending some time here today, check back again later in the week for a little more inspiration.

Kerryn's Week - Just the 2 of you

Hello again, Kerryn here to share some more inspiration with you.

Today I wanted to show you one of the gorgeous new Dark Wood Veneer words designed by WOW.
Such a great wood grain finish and colour.

I have kept the finish really simple on the Dark Wood Vener 'Documented' word by just coating it with Dimensional Magic, so you can still see all of the good parts of the wood but it gives it a nice glossy finish.

In this layout my brother-in-law and his granddaughter are the reluctant stars of the page, enjoying the AFL Grand Final day. I love how well the Hawthorn jumper fits into the whole colour scheme.

Just the 2 of you

If you haven't added any Dark Veneers to stash, make sure you ask your local Scrapbook Store to order some for you.

Thanks for visiting today, check back tomorrow to see what I have for you.

Kerryn's Week - Our cheeky girl

Welcome back to the blog this morning.

Thought I would go a little girlie today and share a 12x12 page of one of my many nieces.
My sweet little monkey with her full repertoire of funny faces.

The page features 3 Wood Veneer Butterflies that have been covered with a thick coat of orange peel Stickles. A page can never have enough bling, I say.

It is so easy to decorate your page with a few wood veneer pieces, it makes such a great impact. The variety of wood veneer products available at WOW is amazing and the new Dark Veneer is a must for your stash.

Kerryn's Week - Be You

Good morning WOW followers, it's Kerryn here and I will be hosting the WOW blog over the next week. I hope you will find time to drop by to see what I have been doing with my WOW stash.

Today I am sharing a 12x12 page of my son at his school sport's day. He was happily clowning around with the ball while waiting for the next event. Glad I captured the fun.

I've used a 'Be You' Wood Veneer piece as my title. It has been roughly covered with pinecone ink, you can still see some of the wood through the ink. Once the ink was dry, I have added a gold faux stitching border around the edge to define the title clearly on the page. The title has also been mounted on 3D foam to give the page some depth.

I am really happy with how the page came together, it is so easy when you have a simple title that fits perfectly to what you have scrapped. Another great WOW product!!

Thanks for visiting today, stay tuned for more inspiration tomorrow.

Anita's Week - 'Beaut Day At The Beach'

So this is a layout I started probably over 2.5yrs ago LOL,
in my many efforts to tidy up my craftroom, I stumbled across it. I decided to give it a revival & finish it!

So I had the chipboard title 'Beauty' in my stash & I
wasn't sure which boy page to use it on ;)
I decided to cut the Y off to make it say 'Beaut'.
I had already painted it with acrylic paint & put glossy accents on it - but it was the wrong colour for what I wanted, so I grabbed a red Copic marker & it worked a treat!

I had also had the chipboard beach border, but I
really didn't want something that big on my page - so
I cut it up LOL - that's the beauty of chipboard, is that it's can be easily chopped & changed :)
The WOW products I have used are:
• chipboard title 'Beauty' WOW791
• 'Summer Beach Border' WOW985

Anita's Week - 'BROMANCE'

Back again!! This layout is of my little dude & his mate Callan. The messy background pretty much sums up my day with this pair - they are like tornados!!!

I've used the following WOW products:
• chipboard '2013 Pack' WOW1741
• 'Classic Alphabet Uppercase' WOW1384E
• 6x6 Geometric Oblongs AltaMATZ ALTA189
• Chipboard polaroid frame

I've used Gel Medium & AltaMATZ over the coloured tea bag background I created (allow Gel medium to completely dry before adding to page). I have left the polaroid frame as is, & with the 2013 & the 'BRO' I have painted with nail polish.

Here's some close ups...

Anita's Week - Project Life Cards

Hellllllooooo - so it's my turn again this week to
share some pretty stuff & decided to show you how
you can use WOW wood veneers & chipboard embellishments in your Project Life projects.
I'm currently doing an album with my son's baby pics,
but will be starting another once I'm caught up with it,
about the 'Story of Us' (me + hubby).
So I made a couple of cards to go in that.

On this 6x4 card, I have used the wood veneer title 'Romance' WV050. We were headed out on a date night - so a tad appropriate. I don't like to alter my wood veneer most of the time - I like it as is, but you can if you want to.

This one is a 3x4 card, I have used the Mini Polaroid Frames WV012 & overlaid on my photo.

Here on this 6x4 card, I have used the chipboard
Chandelier RWL100062 & coloured it in using
a silver Posca pen (thinking near our wedding photos).
Pop back later this week, to see what else I have shared.
Anita :)
