Monday Inspiration with Kerryn

Welcome to the WOW Blog on this fine and chilly Monday morning.

It's my turn to share a few projects with you and hopefully give you a few ideas to try with our amazing products.

The first 12x12 page was created with the Dark Wood Veneer title This Happened, lightly swiped with black ink and a WOW chipboard light bulb based with white ink and covered with Kindy Glitz to give it some glow.

The next project under the spotlight was put together using Mini Filmstrips covered with black ink, stamped with red ink and then a thick coat of Dimensional Magic. The title piece is Hello Summer in a beautiful font. It's been painted with Distress Paint and then finished with some Dimensional Magic

The final piece of chipboard was once the 12x12 Moroccan set but now only a small piece remains. Originally sprayed with different shades of Glimmer Mist.

The final two pages are my recent samples for the latest April challenges over at Stuck?! Sketches.

100% Girl

This is my very sweet Great Niece on her sister's birthday, reasonable happy eating with the blocks! The page was created using Mini Filmstrips covered with black ink, Laugh Love You Polaroid frames painted pink and the Mini Heart and Wire Panel jazzed up with some Stickles.

start your week with some WOW!

Hello Al...hope you have had a fabulous weekend of crafting or making memories to scrap later!
San here with a few of my latest layouts using some of the fabulous WOW available to you at your local scrap store!...WHAT you say???...they don't stock WOW....get them to contact us and sort that out immediately!
This layout is my nephews...a photo from years gone past..using some NEW wood veneer pieces from WOW

'living the dream'...we were just a year ago, on an OS holiday to the USA for 6 weeks. On this layout I have used the world map AltaMatz and a wood veneer title.

On the 'relax' layout, I have used a filmstrip Altamatz with texture paste and then added a dark wood veneer title and map tab.

On this layout of my POD...I have added a small circle of chipboard barbwire

'snap', is a layout I taught last week at my scrapbooking store...we added the chipboard circles with a little white paint on them and black highlights & the title is a mini chipboard word covered with lime dylusion paint and sprayed with orange dylusion mist

In february the (amost all of us) WOW dt got together for a weekend of laughs, chatter and create...
This layout is one of mine that I have used the awesome FREE Tripe Treat Challenge chipboard for the month of April.

Photos have  away of you realising just how fast time goes past....This photo is of my POD with his godmothers son, Liam. They have been in each others lives since birth...and although we don't get to see each other often enough these days, they are mates. Here they caught up at basketball one afternoon.
I love these wood veneer adds to a page...and you don't have to do anything to them, the wood is so awesome raw.

Well.... that's it from me for now
Thanks for popping past and remember to grab yourself some WOW & start recording those memories in your albums.

Dreamcatcher Layout

Howdy Bloggers Lisa Here .
I have been using my signature WOW feather stencil to create dreamcatcher layouts,
and loving the effect that one can create.
Do you have a "dreamcatcher" in their family.

Even though I might not understand her particular choices,
I cant help but celebrate her achievements .

Are you in the Sydney,Newcastle/Central Coast Area ?
I will be teaching this dreamcatcher class in May at Pages2Scrap ,Tuggerah.
I would love to see you there. Lets get Arty.

March 23rd with Jo Kinder

I think I have an addiction to veneer - it's almost as if veneer is the 'new' chipboard lol
Anyhoo, here are some of my creations this month.

"Birthday boy" was made with pieces from the Birthday Boy pack (WV208)

"Suite & Tie" was created with pieces from the
Tag pack (WV223) & Love this Pack (WV224)

"Travels" was created with the Plane Pack (WOW2309)

Last by not least is "Good Times", made with more pieces from the

I think this has got to be one of my recent favourite layouts. Lets just say, it's not getting put in an album straight away :)

Thanks for stopping by.
See you soon!

Jo

A Quick Share with Tess

Tess here today with a couple of quick shares using some of the new release pieces with a few classic pieces thrown in for good measure.

The first one is a great way to use some of those project life cards that we all have laying around.

Happy Story
Using light wood veneer heart arrow (tag pack WV223) and good times arrow (love this pack WV224), chipboard arrows (tribal arrows WOW2299) and light wood veneer mini house (mini houses WV005)

One of the best things about the WOW wood veneer is that it is such an easy item to use to fill a gap on a page. There is no need to alter it in any way, just stick it down!

I have used coloured pencils and glossy accent on the arrow and paint on the mini house.

The second page was based around the white and grey bag and just fell together. All I had to do to top it off was add a couple of pieces of WOW Wood Veneer.

Full of Charm
Using light wood veneer paperclip (paperclips 2 pack WV222), flag banner (mini banners WV021) and leaf stem (stem pack WV165)

I love mixing new release items with classics.

Thanks for calling past today and checking out how I have been using the Words or Whatever products. Be sure to call back next week for more beautiful works from the DT.

Sisters......a layout by Sue Smith

Today I'm sharing a layout I did using a variety of Words Or Whatever products.

I created the background using texture paste with one of WOW's 12x12 Chevron AltaMatz.

The frames that have been coloured, stamped and embossed are from a set of nested 6x6 Square Frames and the 'Sisters' title is one of the many beautiful wood veneer words available which I have coloured with ink.

The three circles I have coloured and used as embellishments are a new release this month and come in a pack of four and are called Circle Ring Frames. These are available in small and medium sizes.

Thanks for dropping by the blog today. Keep your eye out for more creative shares by the Design Team using the lovely new release products.

Please leave a comment and let us know what you think!

March 15th Feature

Hi Everyone,

Today we are featuring the Design Team's favourite New Release chipboard.

WOW2302 INDUSTRIAL PACK

WOW2303 Industrial 1 - Large and WOW2304 Industrial 1 - Small

WOW2305 Industrial 2 - Large and WOW2306 Industrial 2 - Small.

Your local scrapbook store can purchase the full Industrial Pack or purchase the pieces individually.

I love how we have all put our own spin on it. We are looking forward to seeing what you can do with it too. Just post your projects onto our Facebook page.

Tracey Henly
Has used them in a double journal page, with a few extra new pieces thrown in as well for good measure. Go and check out all the new releases here.

has inked them with red ink and added them to her boy layout and also added some WOW cogs, chains, a map marker, an arrow and the 'So Awesome' title.

Sandra Henderson-Staples
has embossed them and created an awesome metallic industrial feel.

Sue Smith
has multi-coloured them with Smooch ink and added rhinestones to some of the connectors. She has also used the 'Love This' circle inked to match. The background was created using spray ink and the recently added 'Netting' 12x12 Altamatz.

Tanya Kember
Has embossed her small industrial piece and used it in a 6x4 Project Life pocket. The finished PL page will be uploaded later. The paper clip is also an awesome new release.

Kerryn Fry
Has embossed with white and gold and then added some colour with paint and Stickles. Also added to the page 'heart this' from the Love This pack, some arrows from the Tribal Arrows, the whale from Nautical Mini Borders and a few clouds from Mini Clouds pack

You can check out close up photos on my blog

Tess Pretty
Has coloured the 2 lager industrial pieces with a black sharpie marker. They have then been lightly misted in gold and coated in a layer of dimensional magic. Tess has also used the new release chipboard cogs sprayed in gold. The industrial pieces have been cut to suit the layout design.

Jo Kinder
Has gesso'd and inked her 'technology' pieces to create a soft girly page with a steampunk twist.

Just a sneak peek at this stage because the page will be run as a class at Pages2Scrap.

Stay tuned for their April calendar, which will be out soon.
