MDF or Chipboard…you choose!

Did you know that WOW can cut in MDF too??

I had these gorgeous leaves from the “Vine Set” RWL367 cut in MDF. I love the natural look of the ‘scorched’ wood.

I have also used on this layout the “Chevron 12x12 AltaMATZ” as my background on the cardstock

oh yeah… and I also used the “Classic Alphabets” and coloured them in black and outline in white gel pen

I (heart) Cogs

I’m back…this time with 2 layouts to chow you how versatile COGS can be.

Cogs are a great way to draw focus to a layout (as are circles), and they are add a masculine feel to boy layouts.

Both layouts feature the “12 x 12 Cog Frame Set” C819

I have also used the “Date tag Pack'”C305 as my journaling box

For this next layout I have used the “Cog Frame Set” again and added some birds from the “Small Bird Pack” C999, as well as “Chloe Flourish” C1182IMG_3855IMG_3853

So there you go… 2 layouts with the same cogs, yet completely different

Happy Scrapping

AltaMATZ , Alphas and Chip

Q:How much WOW can you put on your layout Wendy????

A:3 different types

Love that WOW makes so many different products that I can include all of them without making my page look overcrowded. Here I have used :

-12x12 Chevron AltaMATZ (ALTA009)

-Classic Uppercase Alphabet (C1384)

-Bird in a Tree (C886)

I have used Mr Huey’s “Dewey” and “Ever green” to alter the chipboard pieces and mist the cardstock with the AltaMATZ

Wendy’s WOW Week

Hi Girls,

I found this ‘old’ picture of our son Charlie when he was about 6 weeks old… CUTE….and as soon as a saw it I new I have to scrap it. I had been wanting to do an ORANGE layout for a while, and thought that the neutral colours in the photo allowed me to play around with the orange and black combo

I have used C340‘Sweet in Circle’

sweetsweet1sweet2

I used Glimmermist in ‘Dreamsicle’ to colour the chipboard circle and title piece, and a whole heap of Martha Stewart butterfly punches

Happy Scrapping

WOW Week---by Wendy Smith

Hi Gang!
This month at WOW  I wanted to escape the freezing cold of Winter and head to Summer, well in my mind anyways! So I have designed a layout featuring the sun and pool, and all things summery!

I have used the new Words Or whatever Tropical Flower and leaves set to create this summer layout with.

New Release WOW1588 Tropical Flourish Spray.

New Release WOW1571 Tropical Leaf Pack.

WOWWOW cu
I have used a variety of felt tip pens to colour the chipboard in to give it a variegated look.
Have fun using these products and don’t forget to come back as see what else the girls are creating.
Cheers Wendy x x x

August New Release - Monique

Hi Everyone,
Monique here with some more samples of how you can use the beautiful August Release Chipboard from WOW - Words Or Whatever.

Firstly, Here is my layout "Vintage Pedal Car" with a gorgeous 12"x12" Decorative Circle Frame WOW 1575  and some of the Mini Cog Pack WOW 1568, to add a touch of Steampunk....  I've used Ranger Perfect Pearls in Biscotti on the Frame, and then Copper Perfect Pearls on the Cogs.

The photo is of Connor in his Pop's Vintage Pedal Car - a highlight of Connor's visits to his Grandparents house!
Here is a close up of the gorgeous lustre the Perfect Pearls give the chipboard:

The next layout I am sharing is one titled "King Of The Mountain."  It is a photo of Connor taken recently at Black's Beach, where we spent an afternoon exploring and climbing on the rocks.  I took this after Connor said "Look Mum, I'm King of the Mountain!"  So of course I just had to take a picture!
I have used the Tropical Leaves Pack WOW 1571, which went pefectly with the Fancy Pants Wave Searcher paper range I used.  I wanted to give a shabby, beachy feel to this layout, so I inked the chipboard leaves in Distress Ink - Shabby Shutters, then used Distress Embossing Powder - Antique Linen to give rough texture to the chipboard.

Finally, I am sharing a vintage layout I created to show how much Connor and his Dad are alike - as babies, it is hard to tell them apart...lol.
I have used a gorgeous Decorative Clock WOW 1574, which I simply inked in Prima Chalk Ink - Old Road.

Well, that is it from me - hope I've inspired you to use different techniques with your chipboard.  There are a whole range of mediums out there that allow you to add colour, texture, sheen and glimmer to your chipboard.
Have fun - experiment and play!!!
