We are now halfway through winter and on the upwards climb back to the warmer months. But as we are still having cold days and nights, there is no excuse not having a go at the Colour Challenge for July.

This challenge is super easy. Simply use the colours in the inspiration piece from Design Seeds to create a project - scrapbook page, card, OTP... Just don't forget to use a Words or Whatever product somewhere on there too. It can be chipboard, wood veneer, mdf, altaMATZ or altaWORDS.

NEET'S WEEK - 'Messy Moments'

I love this photo. My little man is such a poser & I just couldn't resist with this one! I couldn't believe how much food he had on his face & not eaten.
The product used was the 'Messy Moments' title WOW1705.
With this one I painted the word 'MESSY'with gesso & then traced around with a black pen. With the 'moments' I used a permanent marker to colour in.

I love the bright colours & clean lines in this one. I used all scraps (besides the backing sheet) to create this one. Other things I used were, washi tape (of course), shipping tags, buttons, bakers twine, dymo labeller, my photo page tabs & a black pen for doodling.

Thanks for having me again this week! Come back soon for more inspiration from the DT!!!

NEET'S WEEK - 'You Are 100% Boy'

I'm on a roll with these bright coloured/minimalist layouts!! I've found a new love, & it's being able to make an interesting page with a few great embellishments that make your photo pop!! Which is the whole point. I heard a funny definition of scrapbooking awhile ago & it was "Scrapbooking - spending $50 to make a 15c photo look good", which I totally agree on in some aspects. It can get quite expensive if your adding things like flowers, bling, resin bits etc. But things like chipboard titles add great depth to a layout - without breaking the budget!
So make sure you head to your LSS to pick some up to play with TODAY!!!!
I was one of those people...
I once added that many flowers to a page - it wouldn't fit into my album (which I've since heard being called 'Prima Vomit' LOL). It was then I realised, that I couldn't afford to scrap every page like that. I'd end up needing a new album every 5 to 6 pages!!!
My ingredient list for this page is:
WOW Small Banner Border (WOW878)
WOW 100% Boy in Circle (WOW459)
WOW 6x6 Random Hexagons (ALTA037)
Handmade star embellishment (by me)
Pearl bling
sequins
KC mini alphas
Handmade shipping tags
Watercolour paint
sewing machine
Flutterby Design page tabs
Washi tape
buttons
flair badge
KC stamp & rub ons
KC paper
black pen
TH tiny stapler

Fun little layout I did of Riley playing with his toys.
I've used the WOW Mini Cog Pack (WOW1568) & the Cog Set Plain (WOW729).

Welcome to the Blog WOW fans. Happy Friday to you all :) Kerryn here and it's my turn to share a few projects with you all today.

So Sweet Together

The next two page were created for Scrapbook Savvy a week or so ago. I was really happy with how the title 'Boys and their toys' and the Rocket & Space chipboard turned out that I thought I would share them with you.

The chipboard title was covered with Pinecone ink and allowed to dry. I then randomly added Metallic Rubs over the title and again finished it off with Dimensional Magic.

The Bookplate was base coated with Viva Croco crackle colour and gesso then coloured using Distress Ink

Here is our son helping his Dad to renovate the family trailer and turn it into our camper trailer.

A Day with Tess - Love Those Baby Blues

Hi WOW followers.

Its Tess here today with a quick layout using some of the the gorgeous Words or Whatever products.

WOW is still one of the best embellishments on the market for your crafting needs especially when it comes to versatility.

I have had this photo around for a little while now, and knew the page needed to be pretty simple to keep the photo as the focus.

I have used the Love title from the Life Elements Word Pack 1 (WOW1829), which has been misted with the new White Dylusionals mist then layered with Mister Hueys Shine.

Added to this is the circle arrow from the Arrow Icons pack (WOW1932) which has been coloured red with a sharpie texter and the Man from the Mini People Pack (WOW1895) coloured in blue with a sharpie texter.

If you are loving these products as much as we are, ask your local LSS to get some in for you, or head to the website to find out if there is a stockist near you.

a spanner in the works & an overdue holiday

well....so the boss says anyway

Suzanne and Family have gone on a wonderful family holiday for a few weeks, so we arent doing a New Release this month. (i think she was too excited) lol

Anyway....San here and I thought I would jump on and show you some samples with the New Wood Veneer

These small icons cut from wood, add that extra enhancement to your work and there is no need to do anything too creative to them, they look good raw. I love the small sizes, they are fabulous for both SMASH, and Project Life, as well as for the scrappers and cardies amongst us.

Anyway...here is a few pages I have done with them:

This is a group of my 'scrap mates'...not only does this craft bring you respite and the ability to show your creative style...it also brings friendships that are alone worth the journey...this is some of mine at camp Mojo. I have used the small wood filmstrip

This is a photo of two of my friends, Tanya & Tess at a class we attended in Tuggerah. It was the worse day ever for travelling, almost flooding everywhere with heavy rain, yet it was, as always, as great day out together.
I have use a combination of cogs, arrows, paperclip and word...all from the new Wood veneer

A page of my POD and my two nephews...love these guys, but as they get older... OMG they are hard to get to co operate for a photo!
I have added a wood veneer arrow and word

Not many posts go by without a page of my princesses...I have added some of the Wood veneer butterflies.

And to finisha photo of my POD, I love these cute little typewriters and how the small wooden words are awesome for all projects and they sit great on a photo too

So if your LSS doesnt have the New Wood Veneers in yet, get them to contact WOW.

Thanks for dropping in, and look forward to the New Release in August....trust me, its gonna be HUGE!

Welcome to Kim's Week of WOW

WOW what a week I have to share with you tonight I am going to share a piece of WOW chipboard that I just adore its the Horse Carousel WOW 1144 it is just perfect for  a baby layout or for a small toddler layout. I have used a gold shimmer paint to cover it and then added some bling just to jazz it up a fraction more.

I have also used one of last months new release Altamatz  12 x 12 Hearts In A Row Alta 154 I just love this Altamat what I have done is taken a pot of modelling paste and started to fill the hearts I wanted and then dragged a paddle pop stick through it to remove some pasted and this made the ridges which I then highlighted with gold shimmer paint.

I will now share my layout with you.

Thank you for looking and I will share more this week with you. Don't forget to check out the new WOW items at your local stockist.
