Hello everyone...welcome to December 2013.

This month, just for something different, our fabulous Design team will be posting daily for you, just to keep you inspired for the holiday season.

Many of us are doing the December Daily challenge...so if you are, then watch how awesome the new release Christmas range from WOW works in your album.

I will start December with a layout of Ella on her first christmas....remember that WOW will make personalised chipboard titles for you, and we always have Christmas for each year available....so get onto your LSS to grab you some.

'Ella first christmas'
using chipboard title and presents

I have used a vintage photo ink, and some kindy glitz on the chipboard

'Christmas Card'
using new wood veneer 'Christmas Star' ornament

It is a little hard to see in these photos, but on the wood veneer ornament I have used some clear gloss medium to preserve the natural beauty of the wood and I coloured the 'Christmas' word with some gold Smooch.

Hope you enjoy what we have in store for you this month...be sure to pop in each day to see what we have been up to.

Kerryn's week - Together again

Hello Hello, today is my final share for the week on the blog, I hope you have found something to interest you and fuel your passion for using chipboard or wood veneers.

To wrap things up this week I've gone back to my darker side and finished things off with another girly page. The very same cheeky niece who featured earlier in the week.

I have used the chipboard word Together covered in Zazz Glitter Glue to form part of my title.
I really like the gritty finish of this glitter glue, it dries with lots of body.

The photo captures her love for her cousin so beautifully, they are such great pals.

Kerryn's Week - Hiding from the girls

Good morning to you all on this lovely Friday morning.

I have two simple pages to share with you today. Both pages feature my son but at different ages. Where did that little guy go?

This first page has photos taken back in 2008 when he was at Kindergarten. So funny to see him tucked away hiding. He was loved by all of the girls, so I can only imagine he was taking some time out.
I have used the chipboard word Journey as a sub-title and covered it with pinecone ink. It seemed a little dark once I had stuck it down so I outlined the edges with a red metallic gel pen.

OMG such a cute photo of my boy!!

The next page is my son right now and as you can clearly see, he is no longer a willing participant in any photos that I take. So I take them anyway!

A simple addition to this page was a Wood Veneer Arrow Icon covered with Glossy Accents, one of my favourite products.

Kerryn's Week - Outdoors Boy

Hi there, welcome back to the blog.

I am sharing a page today that features my son on a lovely family day out. The boys took their bikes to ride and I went for a walk along the beach with my camera.

This page combines two of the new mini chipboard words, Outdoors and Boy to create my crazy slang title. The chipboard has been lightly covered with red ink and then the edges swiped with gold metallic rub.

The new mini words are a funky way to put together a longer title on your scrapbook pages, they are a must for your chipboard supplies.

Thanks for spending some time here today, check back again later in the week for a little more inspiration.

Kerryn's Week - Just the 2 of you

Hello again, Kerryn here to share some more inspiration with you.

Today I wanted to show you one of the gorgeous new Dark Wood Veneer words designed by WOW.
Such a great wood grain finish and colour.

I have kept the finish really simple on the Dark Wood Vener 'Documented' word by just coating it with Dimensional Magic, so you can still see all of the good parts of the wood but it gives it a nice glossy finish.

 photo _DSC0007_zps17e76178.jpg

In this layout my brother-in-law and his granddaughter are the reluctant stars of the page, enjoying the AFL Grand Final day. I love how well the Hawthorn jumper fits into the whole colour scheme.

Just the 2 of you

If you haven't added any Dark Veneers to stash, make sure you ask your local Scrapbook Store to order some for you.

Thanks for visiting today, check back tomorrow to see what I have for you.

Kerryn's Week - Our cheeky girl

Welcome back to the blog this morning.

Thought I would go a little girlie today and share a 12x12 page of one of my many nieces.
My sweet little monkey with her full repertoire of funny faces.

The page features 3 Wood Veneer Butterflies that have been covered with a thick coat of orange peel Stickles. A page can never have enough bling, I say.

It is so easy to decorate your page with a few wood veneer pieces, it makes such a great impact. The variety of wood veneer products available at WOW is amazing and the new Dark Veneer is a must for your stash.

I hope you can pop back tomorrow to see the new Dark Veneer in action. Thanks for dropping in today..

Kerryn's Week - Be You

Good morning WOW followers, it's Kerryn here and I will be hosting the WOW blog over the next week. I hope you will find time to drop by to see what I have been doing with my WOW stash.

Today I am sharing a 12x12 page of my son at his school sport's day. He was happily clowning around with the ball while waiting for the next event. Glad I captured the fun.

I've used a 'Be You' Wood Veneer piece as my title. It has been roughly covered with pinecone ink, you can still see some of the wood through the ink. Once the ink was dry, I have added a gold faux stitching border around the edge to define the title clearly on the page. The title has also been mounted on 3D foam to give the page some depth.

 photo _DSC0010_zps31146793.jpg

I am really happy with how the page came together, it is so easy when you have a simple title that fits perfectly to what you have scrapped. Another great WOW product!!

Thanks for visiting today, stay tuned for more inspiration tomorrow.

Anita's Week - 'Beaut Day At The Beach'

So this is a layout I started probably over 2.5yrs ago LOL,
in my many efforts to tidy up my craftroom, I stumbled across it. I decided to give it a revival & finish it!

So I had the chipboard title 'Beauty' in my stash & I
wasn't sure which boy page to use it on ;)
I decided to cut the Y off to make it say 'Beaut'.
I had already painted it with acrylic paint & put glossy accents on it - but it was the wrong colour for what I wanted, so I grabbed a red Copic marker & it worked a treat!

I had also had the chipboard beach border, but I
really didn't want something that big on my page - so
I cut it up LOL - that's the beauty of chipboard, is that it's can be easily chopped & changed :)
The WOW products I have used are:
• chipboard title 'Beauty' WOW791
• 'Summer Beach Border' WOW985

Here's some close ups...

Anita's Week - 'BROMANCE'

Back again!! This layout is of my little dude & his mate Callan. The messy background pretty much sums up my day with this pair - they are like tornados!!!

I've used the following WOW products:
• chipboard '2013 Pack' WOW1741
• 'Classic Alphabet Uppercase' WOW1384E
• 6x6 Geometric Oblongs AltaMATZ ALTA189
• Chipboard polaroid frame

I've used Gel Medium & AltaMATZ over the coloured tea bag background I created (allow Gel medium to completely dry before adding to page). I have left the polaroid frame as is, & with the 2013 & the 'BRO' I have painted with nail polish.

Here's some close ups...

Anita's Week - Project Life Cards

Hellllllooooo - so it's my turn again this week to
share some pretty stuff & decided to show you how
you can use WOW wood veneers & chipboard embellishments in your Project Life projects.
I'm currently doing an album with my son's baby pics,
but will be starting another once I'm caught up with it,
about the 'Story of Us' (me + hubby).
So I made a couple of cards to go in that.

On this 6x4 card, I have used the wood veneer title 'Romance' WV050. We were headed out on a date night - so a tad appropriate. I don't like to alter my wood veneer most of the time - I like it as is, but you can if you want to.

This one is a 3x4 card, I have used the Mini Polaroid Frames WV012 & overlaid on my photo.

Here on this 6x4 card, I have used the chipboard
Chandelier RWL100062 & coloured it in using
a silver Posca pen (thinking near our wedding photos).
Pop back later this week, to see what else I have shared.
Anita :)

Tarrah's Week of Shares....All About This Moment....

Hello hello!
Tarrah here today to share yet another layout with you using some of my favourite WOW chipboard products...

Back in August this year, I went to an awesome 4 day scrapping retreat called Camp Mojo, held in the Hunter Valley, not too far from here...I was able to meet another of my fellow SBM Masters....Leonie Neal-Dawson...and boy did we have some fun!! There was a photo booth set up of course and we had a ton of fun getting some crazy photos!!

As you can see I really like leaving chipboard in its natural raw state,
only occasionally as seen here with the pennant banners...inking them to add some pop!!

A Day With Sue - 'Her Heart Belongs To Him'

Hi everyone....thought I would pop in with a quick Friday share. While still in recovery mode from madly organising and preparing for my daughter's engagement party last weekend, I thought I would share a layout I created using the photo that was taken of the happy couple just moments after the 'big question' was asked.

I have used the WOW Wood Veneer 'Remember' which I painted lightly with some 'Black Magic' GlimmerMist. A light coat of the mist still maintains the beautiful grain of the wood and is a technique I often use with these wood veneers.

We have some exciting things happening here at Words Or Whatever over the coming weeks and into 2014. Be sure to pop into the blog next week when Tarrah shares some of her amazing creations.
