Monique has created this layotu for her guest DT spot at CSI….here are her words

“I have used Block Capital Alphabet C1388, Cog Set Plain C729, Bookplates Assorted C580 and the Ornate 2D Window C808.
I backed the Ornate 2D window with some vintage book paper, and inked the frame in Tim Holtz Distress Ink – Chipped Saphire.
The Book Plate has been backed in paper, and the frame inked in the Chipped Saphire again. I added some brads to the corners, and distressed them with my Tim Holtz Texture Hammer.
The Cogs were inked in Tim Holtz Distress Ink Bundled Sage, then I added some stickles in Picket Fence for a bit of bling.”

add a little WOW to your day!

Hi its Em here again, today I am going to share with you a couple of layouts I have done that have some WOW chippy on it and also I have used WOWs new product AltaMATZ.

In my first layout I have used the chevron narrow (ALTA023) AltaMATZ and used my white calico spray to achieve the base.  I have then covered a circle from the 12x12 circle frame set (C828) in Basic grey patterned paper.

IMG_2918IMG_2917IMG_2919

My next layout I have again used the narrow chevron with white spray, I wasnt really happy with how it turned out on the patterned paper so instead of respraying it with a darker colour I lined my AltaMATZ back up to the pattern and used it like a stencil to outline the pattern with a texta. Neat huh!?  There are so many ways to use the AltaMATZ!

I have also used alot of WOW chippy on this one, the january word from the months of the year set (C1401), the numbers from the classic alphabet lowecase (C1385).  The Butterfly is from the new butterfly set (C1098) and the corner is from the ornamental corners2 pack (C1406). These are all just coloured in with brown ink & texta, sometimes less is more!

Thanks for having a look at my layouts for WOW, please leave some love Smile

Also dont forget there is only a couple of days left for our march promotion and your chance to win some awesome WOW chippy, still time to enter!

Fabric and Paper Wrapping!

Hi, It's Gilly here with a fabric and paper wrapped technique, which I used on the
RWL100011 Ornamental Circle Bird Frame. to create this "You" layout.

How I created this Birdy Circle.
  1. First Emboss the frame in light brown embossing powder, then distress with a file set.
  2. Colour the birds in Liquid Pearls in a swirling action.
  3. When dry, dry brush a bit of white gesso over all of the chipboard.
  4. Rip pieces of  muslin fabric into 1cm stripes and wrap around the circle, tieing as you go. Then distress the fabric with a file.(by running the file against the fabric).
  5. Rip pieces of pattern paper into approx 1cm strips and wrap loosely around parts of the circle, attach as you go.
  6. Add some tissue tape to parts of the flourishes and cut off the excess.
  7. Cut a piece of pattern paper in a circle a little bit bigger than the Bird Circle and distress around the edges, then attached to a back ground paper.
  8. Mount your photo, adhere to the paper circle, then attach the Bird Circle on top.
  9. Add flowers, bunting and pearls to the circle.
  10. Add title and bling it up with some Kindy Glitz.

Add some pearls for the eyes.

A Picture is worth a Thousand Words

Good morning everybody.....

It's Kellie here today to share another page with you all. The chipbpard piece I have used is the title "A Picture is worth a Thousand Words" (C1446). The photo is a pic of my twin boys when they were only 2 days old.......... so i think this title was very fitting.

I have used white paint to cover the chipboard...

I have also used a Bracket Bookplate (C1090) on my page.

Here is the finished page............
Cute hey? The WOW blog is continually being updated with new inspiration so make sure you check back regularly to keep up to date!
Thanks for stopping bye :)

WINTER TREE BIRDS 1

Hey… Susan Longman here … I have decided to create a layout this week for you that puts all the emphasis on the chipboard piece… This is a fabulous thing to do when you are scrapping one of those “nothing” photos… like mine below that was one of many I took one day when playing with a new lens.

To create the background effect i have used mist and a sponge and dropped it on the cardstock to give the splatter effect. On the chipboard WINTER TREE BIRDS 1 - RWL382 I have coloured it with permanent marker and then I have stitched a piece of plain paper on to the layout. Added a few descriptive words about my little man and a date… done! IMG_8568IMG_8569
