December 30th Tracey Henly

This is my last post for the year 2014.
See you on the flip side.
Don't party too hard now.
Again I have scrapped one of Suzanne's daughter, these photo's are just gorgeous.

I started with a 12 x 12 piece of chipboard, so I could throw as much paint at it as I wanted. I used a mixture of dylusions sprays and acrylic inks which I sprayed with water to give a water colour effect. I then used a template and some archival black ink to do a random crackle effect. I also used a few different types of background stamps with the black archival ink as well on the edges and focal points.
My next layer was with the WOW altamatz  summer fresh and some white gesso. I used some wow butterflies and mini butterflies.
which I coloured with purple glimmer mist.
I painted the messy circle with white crackle paint.

Thanks for looking.
Tracey.

The Butterflies and word She I have used heat embossing enamel.

Hi Everyone,

I hope you had an awesome Christmas and that Santa was good to you.

I am sharing a layout with you today that I did for a CSI challenge earlier this month. If you like challenges go over and check out the ning site.

I used different colour Heidi Swapp colour shine sprays on all the wood veneer pieces. I loved the new graduating circles, Dot Pack.

The Girl Birthday Pack is very sweet too, and perfect for this layout.

The little heart on the photo came out of the new shapes pack.

Thanks for looking.

December 22nd

Hello again, Kerryn back to inspire you a little more before the holidays start.

On this page I have used the gorgeous New Release Wood Veneer Trees Pack to create the foliage for my flower cluster. They have been lightly covered with Distress Ink to add some soft colour. The small frame from the Wood Veneer Selfie Pack has become my journal spot brushed with a little ink and the year from the Numbers pack have been covered with gold ink. The flower centres are buttons from the Shapes Pack

The Tag formed the base for the month, it was kept kept natural with a little ribbon tied to it to finish it off.

The Wood Veneer Butterflies are from the Girl Birthday Pack, they have been coloured with water colour paints, the very cute tiny flowers are in the Symbols Pack ans have been covered with paint as well. The chipboard Flourish  has been covered with ink and used to anchor the butterflies and flowers

The title has been created using letters from the Girly Lowercase Alphabet. Covered with brown ink, stamped with a Kaisercraft dot stamp and gold ink and then coated with Glossy Accent. The Wood Veneer Boy has come from the Boy Birthday Pack

Hi Guys,

Todays layout was inspired by a CSI challenge they release a new one weekly. They also have one that comes out at the beginning of each month and you have all month to complete it. These are awesome you get the colours, the accent suggestions and the journaling prompts.

I painted the Title OMG with acrylic paint and doodled around the edges with a back marker. I coloured the Messy mini rectangle with the black marker also.

Thanks for looking

December 14th with Tracey Henly

Hi Everyone,

I really love doing challenges, this is how I end up with a lot of layouts to show you. I find they give me a starting point to create, one less aspect to think about.

This layout I did for last months Black with two challenge
and it was a featured layout on their blog.
I will be putting the direct link to the chipboard used in their name just click on it and it will take you straight there.

The Butterfly frame I coloured with two tones of blue embossing powder and heat set. I also cut it to make it work on this layout. Don't be afraid to do that if it is not fitting the way you need it to.
Same with the Title Just too cute I needed to cut it to suit this layout. I coloured it with glimmer mist.

Thanks for looking

December 11 with Jo Kinder

Howdy, it's Jo here, sharing with you some veneer pieces.
I used to get my DT pack and smell (I mean really smell :) ) the chipboard. These days I love to smell the veneer. You know how catnip is to a cat? well chipboard and veneer has that effect on me lol.
Anyhoo, I digress ;)

Here is a layout using some veneer trees (WV212) and hearts (WV214)

See the detail in that middle tree???!

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing I layout I did after a very inspiring work shop with Louise Nelson. This was at the delights retreat this year.

It was an awesome week end with new techniques taught and inspiration a plenty.

I have used the new word title Enjoy the day, don't be afraid to cut your chipboard shapes to suit your layout. I have coloured this with a glimmer spray.
The new feather and the small butterfly I also sprayed with glimmer spray but added an accent of silver gilding paint from Martha Stewart range.

Thanks for looking

DECEMBER 9TH

Summertime has arrived...SUMMER is all about the beach, sun, surf and sand.
Malinda here sharing a page I did today of our time in Bali earlier this year. My son with his mocktail!

I've use the awesome Escape to Paradise title. It's raw chipboard so easy to paint quickly with a dabber.

I know they're not new but I love the chicken wire  placed under photos to give another layer to a page. Again raw chipboard which I sprayed with some Heidi Swapp mist. Little bit of shimmer over the raw chipboard, looks a bit grungy.

And how cute is that little palm tree???? It's part of the cutest little pack of borders which includes whales and anchors
Did you notice the small circles? Wood veneer from the new December release...painted with posca pen and then a dab of the same Heidi Swap mist.

A quick page made super easy with the summer range from WOW.

Welcome to our New Design Team member

Hello WOW Lovers,

I've been putting this baby to work using it, not only on my layouts
but on canvases and journals as well.
The lettering on this layout is taken from a new WOW stencil I've been  playing with
and the # is from WOW's awesome range of wood veneer products.
Make sure you check them out.
So many cool things coming up so stay tuned peeps.

December 3rd

Well hello, it's Kerryn here to inspire you with some of the amazing New Releases for December.

This month @ WOW there is BIG focus on Wood Veneer and I am loving it!

I have added a few different pieces to this page, my DT take on the latest challenge over at Scrap the boys. Some pieces I have kept natural, which I think works well when it compliments your colour palette.

Loving the sheet of numbers to add the year to the page and the very cute mini cameras.
 photo _DSC0028_zps87e2e2b6.jpg

 photo _DSC0027_zpsc31d9dd1.jpg

I've add some Kindy Glitz the give the mini sun and stars a little sparkle.

 photo _DSC0026_zps6808665c.jpg

The title piece is chipboard that has been painted white first and then stamped with Distress Ink for a subtle finish.

December 1st Tanya...Project Life...

WOW!  It's the 1st of December - how quick has this year flown by...

Today I had the pleasure of creating with Teresa Collins.... I would have to say that she is one of the most inspirational people I have met...truly beautiful...

So of course I had to create this page - very gold and blingy... All of my WOW Krafty Bits which are available this month in a mixed pack have been dabbed with a gold acrylic paint dabber...

This little WOW frame I have used has been dabbed with gold paint and the effect I LOVE but to be honest will probably never get again as I found my new puppy chewing away on it but I still had to use it.

Adding a little sequins to your cards gives them a little bling and dimension....

Most of my WOW Krafty Bits have been put onto clear acetate to give a different effect...

My little piece of WOW was custom made...so if you ever need a specific title for example don't hesitate to ask!!!

I have used the numbers white Krafty Bit as my background and added glitter and a piece of gold thread...Love this effect...

Heading  off now to create a few cards for my December Daily...
So pop into your LSS and grab yourself some WOW for your December Daily...

Happy creating
