MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM WOW!!!!

Can you believe how close we are to Christmas as another year comes to an end?

I would like to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our Design Team - Kerryn, Tarrah, Kim, Monique, Sue, Tess and Anita - for all their hard work this past year!  I think they have done a fantastic job of showcasing our products throughout the year.

I would also like to thank Sandra for all her hard work and support throughout the past year.  I wouldn't be able to do this without her.

We will be taking a short break on the blog until the 6th January when the 2014 Design Team will be announced.

So stay safe, take lots of photos and I hope you have a lot of time to scrap over the Christmas and New Year break.

See you all next year!!!!

December 23rd

It Tess back again today for one last December Daily album share. With it being Christmas eve eve, there isn't much time left to get your shopping finished.

Day 12 was the start of the Rocky Road batches. This was also the start of my Christmas cooking week. We give cooking away to family and friends for gifts and I have noticed that each year I am cooking more and more! I have used the bubble Christmas tree and painted it in a light layer of gold.

December 17th was my present wrapping night. I tend to wait until I have just about all of the presents purchased before I wrap so that I can double check my list for what I still have left to buy. I have used the chipboard 'Presents' title which has been painted with a light layer of gold paint, then a dose of green kindy glitz to make it twinkle!

Christmas is about spending time with loved ones (and little ones taking selfies with my phone)! We had a family dinner where I let the kids go wild with my iPhone camera in hope that there would be something decent in the bunch. These are the types of photos I got!!

I have used the chipboard 'Joy' title which has been coloured with a red sharpie marker, a light wood veneer Christmas tree and a set of light wood veneer ears.

December 20th was the start of the summer break for us, so we kicked back, relaxed and celebrated.

I have used the chipboard 'celebrate' title and a chipboard poinsettia flower both painted with a light coat of gold paint.

Well that's it from me for the Words or Whatever Christmas new releases. I hope you have enjoyed checking in each day and that we have inspired you. These posts will always be here after Christmas to check back over once you have all of your new photos ready to go.

If you are travelling for Christmas, please travel safely. Wishing you a wonderful festive season with your friends and family.

December 22nd

Only 3 more days until Christmas day. Are you all getting excited and have you all finished your Christmas shopping?

Today I am sharing some cards with you using the awesome wood veneer products.
What I have done on the card on the left is used a 21/2 circle punch to punch a hole in the center of the card then I have glued the timber veneer bauble over the hole then lined the inside on the card in black to show it off. on the card on the right I have used the circle punch from the previous card and one of the awesome timber veneer reindeer.

December 21st

Hello..
Tarrah McLean here sharing another layout..

In April this year we had my sister and her hubby visit from England and since we don't get to celebrate many Christmases with them we had a mock Christmas...she came loaded with gifts for us all and my littlest Oliver (just 2) couldn't help but nick off with some of the gifts before we got to them!! Luckily I had my camera ready when I caught him!!

See that cheeky, sly grin on his face?! Too cute!!

No Peeking...

FIRST christmas photos are very special.....a memory to keep for sure

...and when you have a cute little guy or girl to dress up and have mini photo shoots that even more fun, especially if they play along with you.

Here is a layout of Nixons first santa costume photo shoot.

'first chrissy'
using wood veneer bauble
AltaMatz brick template

I have used gesso through the WOW brick AltaMatz with green embossing powder sprinkled on it, heat dries and then added random red paint spots. Add a few bling to the reindeer noses and some washi.

He sure is a cute little clause!

December 18th

Hi, its Tess back again with a bit more December Daily inspiration using the gorgeous Words or Whatever Christmas releases.

The 'Deck the Halls' title has been coloured with a black sharpie marker then stuck to the outside of the sleeve.  This page still isn't finished as I am not happy with the photos of our decorated house. I will need to spend a bit more time getting them right before I put them in here! The wood veneer reindeer on the other page has been left raw.

The bottom corner is a raw wood veneer 'Merry Christmas Hope Joy'. It was perfect to accent the corner of this page and compliments the darkness of the photo.

I have used the light wood veneer reindeer again here, along with a chipboard title 'Believe'. Both of these have been coated in a light coat of gold paint.

I am trying so hard to stay ahead with this album and barely keeping my head above water with it. Are you doing December Daily too? How are you going with it?

Any of the Words or Whatever products that you have seen on the blog are all available by contacting you local scrap supplier. If they don't stock WoW products at the moment, ask them to get some in so that you don't miss out on playing with these goodies while documenting your family's Christmas celebrations.

December 14th

Tess here with you today still sharing the love of the fesitive season.
The joy of Christmas continues, and by now most Christmas cards should be in the mail, but if you are like me and leave everything to the last minute, here is a quick card idea for you. I have drawn my inspriation from my Christmas board on Pinterest where a similar idea was done by A.Winkleman.
Using light wood veneer bells bauble and chipboard 'believe' title.

I have inked a light wood veneer bauble and a chipboard believe title with a versamark then embossed in gold. I have added a couple of pieces of ribbon and the remainder of the sentiment, and besides a black line doodle, your card is done!

These Christmas baubles could also be used for project life cards or filler pages in any pocket page album.

It can't be any easier than that!

December 13th

'Twas the Night Before Christmas'
using chipboard Patchwork Christmas Tree - RWL9414

These cute chipboard Christmas trees come joined with a common base and have various patchwork details etched into them. All I did to decorate them was to colour in-between the lines with a fine point red marker and cut one of them away from the others to add higher up in the layout for balance.

Kim Kendell
I have chosen to share a pair of Christmas cards with you using the awesome wood veneers and chipboard banners in stars.

Card one uses the wood veneer Jingle Bells while card 2 uses the chipboard banner in stars.

I have left the word raw and sprayed the stars with Heidi swap gold mist.

December 11th

Tess here today with more shares from my December Daily using the gorgeous Words or Whatever Christmas release products. Some part of this album are not finished, but you get the idea!

To complete days 4 &5 I have used some of the light and dark wood veneer and left it raw as the natural colours were perfect for each page.

I am still working on the 6th where I have slipped a light wood veneer present into the pocket to be added when I complete the journalling about this day once I have the final photo printed. I have used a medium candy cane in the light wood veneer and coloured with a bronze gel pen and a red sharpie marker.

I have slipped an extra insert into this section as I have a few more photos to add to the album than I have spaces. As it was our weekend away for our wedding anniversary, I added the [heart] you always and the wood veneer deer. The chipboard bow on the other page has been glittered in red and stuck to the white space tip on the journal card. It looks like it has always just been there.

My last page share is from 8th and 9th (which is still not finished as I need one more photo). I have added the dark wood veneer bauble to a piece of clear plastic and slipped into its place. I have also added a couple of light wood veneer candy canes to the pocket on the other page. They have been coloured in with a bronze gel pen.

Thank you for calling past today. I really hope that we are giving you enough inspiration to get you past Christmas and into scrapping all of those photos that you will take.

'Deck the Halls'
using new chipboard 'Deck the Halls' title and 12"x12" Square Frame AltaMATZ - ALTA145

To create the background I partially sprayed the kraft cardstock with white ink using the 12"x12" Square Frame AltaMATZ and then accented some of the shapes with a white gel pen.

I painted the chippy title with Smooch ink in hot pink and then lightly with gold after chopping up the word.

I have turned three plain Manilla tags into cute Christmas tags using ink, stamps and ribbon.
They feature Mini Chipboard Christmas Baubles , New Release Wood Veneer 'Joy' and Dark Veneer Mini Christmas Tree all covered with Stickles and Dark Veneer Reindeers finished with a thick coat of Dimensional Magic.
