WOW with Tess

Tess here this week... It feels like forever since I shared any of my Words or Whatever goodness! I have been a bit busy in the background at the moment trying to finish off all of those unfinished projects. You know, the ones where they were a great idea at the time and the next great thing came along and you just didn't finish the first one.... Please don't tell me I am alone in having a cupboard full of these?
Any way, here are some of the more recent layouts for your inspiration. I have been playing around with some of the older pieces of chipboard in my stash and using the up. This will always justify being able to by more!!

PICTURES OF YOU

One thing I really love about the WOW products is the title. They make pulling a page together really easy. This piece has been coloured with paint.

#KEEPINITREAL

There are 3 pieces of chipboard on this page. All have been painted. I love the bubbles panel and how it adds another layer of dimension to this layout. The other two pieces are the tille, '#keepinitreal', and the 'today' piece.

JAMIES

This layout has used a bubble panel piece, which has been cut down into several pieces. This changes up the same old and makes the pieces go further. All pieces have been painted.

All of the August new releases are now live on the Words or Whatever website. Go and have a look as these will be coming to your local scrap stores very soon. Don't forget that we are now also on Instagram and Pinterest.

Happy Long Weekend

Tess here today with a couple of long weekend shares. I hope to give you some simple inspiration for anyone that is spending some time relaxing playing with paper, glue and of course, WOW products.

Programmed for Mischief

This layout is using plenty of WOW products. The 'Programmed for Mischief' (wow2364) chipboard title has been painted to suit the layout. The stars (wv214), paperclip (wv222) and arrow (wv018) are all light wood veneer and left raw.

Keepin it Real

There are a couple of WOW pieces on this page, all chipboard and all coloured to match the papers. I love the #keepinitreal title. Its perfect for those layouts about everyday life. The 'today' (wow2330) title is a new release. The other piece used is a 4x4 circle panel (wow2116).

All of these products are available at your local scrap store.

October 22nd

Tess back today with another quick share - this time with a Christmas theme. It's not long to go until the Silly Season and I noticed that last year I really only did my December Daily album (which if you were following along on the blog you would have seen most of the pages). I thought it time to get a few scrap pages completed so that I can put last years festive time to bed and start on 2014.

Of course all of these beautiful pieces are available through your local WOW stockist.

Merry & Bright
Using chipboard Christmas Tree Squiggle

My favourite accent colour at Christmas is gold, and the quickest and easiest way to colour the world gold is embossing powder. I love using it on chipboard and this layout is no exception.

Something I haven't used a lot of is microbeads. I thought these were perfect to make the star pop and separate it from the rest of the chipboard piece.

Christmas in the harbour city
Using chipboard Christmas Bow Flourish, chipboard Christmas Angel title and light wood veneer Christmas Tree

We see so much of how Northern Hemisphere cities decorate in the festive season, so I love nothing more than seeing how we do it Down Under. That was the inspiration for this page.

Again using pops of gold through embossing powders on chipboard and light wood veneer add to the page.

Don't forget you can cut chipboard to make it work for you. The 'Christmas' in this title comes from the below 'Christmas Angel' title.

Thanks for calling past and we hope you are enjoying this months new releases.

October 7th

Tess here today to share some of the new titles or key words that have been uploaded to the Words or Whatever website. What I love most about these words are that you don't have to think too hard to come up with a page title, and they beat the same old alphas page in page out! They make the finishing touches quick and easy.
This is amazeballs
Using light wood veneer title

This title comes in a light wood veneer and it has been left raw on this page.

Here is another page showing how easy it is to add a Words or Whatever title to a page to finish it off.

2 the moon and back
Using light wood veneer title

The light wood veneer title was a great addition to this page and the colours tie in with the browns and golds.

Hey there, Jo stepping in for a moment :)
I agree with Tess 100% about the ease of use with these new titles... sooo easy, adaptable and economical!

There are plenty of new items that have been uploaded to the website this month, including a new selection of these titles. All of these are available through your local scrap store.

September 26th

Tess here today with my share for the Stuck Sketches anniversary challenge which Words or Whatever are a sponsoring. I loved the sketch we had to work with. It was really easy to incorporate plenty of washi tape (and don't we all have so much of that).

This is the sketch

Watching in Wonder
Using chipboard Winged Heart Flourish and light wood veneer Arrow

Both Words or Whatever items have been embossed in aged gold. How beautiful and intricate is the winged heart flourish?! I could use this one over and over again!

You have until the 29th to get your entries in over on the Stuck Sketches site. You may be lucky enough to pick up the generous Words or Whatever prize pack.

August 29th

Tess here today with another quick page. I am loving the background chipboard pieces at the moment and these circles are gorgeous.

Insta Fun

The chipboard circle piece has been sprayed with a gold mist while the 'Insta Fun' title has been left raw in the light wood veneer.

This page was a really simple quick one to pull together and the Words or Whatever products are what made it easy. All of these products are available through your local scrap supplier.

August 14th

Tess here today with a really quick share using one of the new release items and a few oldies. Is it just me or does your mojo disappear in winter too?

I Love
Using new dark wood veneer oval star frame, old dark wood veneer hash tags and old chipboard messy squiggle

The dark wood veneer has been left natural and the chipboard has been coloured with a white gel pen to blend with the layout.

Thanks for calling past, and remember to talk to your LSS about how to get your hands on these beautiful new Words or Whatever products.

July 25th

Tess back again with another layout showcasing the July new releases. I have been wanting to scrap this photo since the day it was taken, but didn't feel that any of the ideas I had for it would give me the chance to tell the whole story. These cog pieces finally inspired me the sit down and get the story on paper, before years pass and I forget all of the minor details.
Gay Parita

Both cog pieces have been embossed in a liquid platinum to make them fit the theme.

I love how the fine details of the cogs have remained through the embossing to keep that extra detail in the piece. It just makes it that much more interesting.

Both of these pieces are available now at your local Words or Whatever stockist.

July 22th

Tess here again today to share another couple of layouts using these gorgeous new releases. I have been playing around with embossing powders and am loving the results I am coming up with.
Happy Days

And a couple of close ups...

The messy heart frame and mason jars have been embossed in a aged gold. I have added the 'happy days' title, flower stem and bloom embossed in a chunky white to contrast the gold.

And another layout using the same embossing techniques but different chipboard pieces.

Speed Racer

This piece is beautiful. Its very steampunk but with the aged gold embossing it looks fantastic.

And again the contrast of the gold and white again on the messy circles and 'you rock' title.

All of these products are available through your local WOW stockist now.

July 7th

Tess here today with my first layouts using the July new release goodies from WOW. There is so much inspiration in this months new releases and my mind started ticking over. This release is very gender neutral so works well with everything.

Hello Utah

I love the circle frames. They are perfect to highlight any aspect on a page and in this case, I have highlighted the photo. The frame has been coloured in white with a gel pen and the flower stems have been coloured with a red sharpie.

I have cut one of the flower stems into pieces and used it on the other side of the page along with a chipboard 'so awesome' title coloured in with a navy blue sharpie to match the rest of the layout.

Remember all of these great pieces are available now through your local WOW stockist. If there is anything you see that is a must have, don't forget to ask them to order it for you.

June 24th

Tess calling past again today with another quick layout using some of the new WOW products for June.

Dirty Janes
using new chipboard small vine, dark wood veneer hashtags and 6x6 diagonal stripe altamatz

I have used a bronze texture creme through to diagonal stripe altamatz. This has given me some texture in the background but also my journal space.

The chipboard vine has been misted in a mist with a shimmer base so that it wasnt lost in the layout.

Rather than incorporate the dark wood veneer hashtags in the title or subtitle I have used them as another embellishment on the page as their colour tone was perfect with the sequin stars.

All of these products are available new through your local scrap store. There is still more inspiration to come this month, so keep calling past.

June 14th

Are you loving the new release designs for June? I know the DT certainly did.

Tess here again today to share another layout with you as inspiration for the new products.

Always Family
Using chipboard branch and dark wood veneer circle cluster

The dark wood veneer circle cluster has been kept raw. The dark colour is perfect for this layout.

The chipboard branch has been misted in gold.

These products are all now available at your local scrap store. If they don't stock WOW products, ask them to get some in for you.

June 8th

Tess here today sharing my first layout using one of the June new release chipboards. I loved this piece and knew exactly what I wanted to do with it the moment I saw it.
Smile
Using new chipboard large circle piece, new dark wood veneer '&' and old chipboard female mini person

The circle piece has been misted with a gold mist and placed on the page. I have then gone through and filled in the wholes with different items. The chipboard mini female person has been coloured with a dark blue sharpie and the dark wood veneer '&' has been left raw.

This piece is so versatile and will be on a few of my pages this month. I cant wait to see what the rest of the DT do with it. Make sure you keep calling past to check out the inspiration.

All of the products you see are available from your local scrap store.

May 27th

Tess here today to share a layout using Words or Whatever chipboard products. Are you loving what you are seeing this month? We would love to hear your feedback.

I had a bit of fun with this layout and due to the colours needed the chipboard to stand out and not get lost. The simple solution is a good old black sharpie marker!

Has My Heart

How beautiful is this chipboard piece? It made the perfect accent for this layout and turning it black made it stand out.

To finish off this layout I have used a couple of the ornate corners that were released back in March. These have also been simply coloured in with a black sharpie marker.

Any form of texters can be used to alter your chipboard colours to match your layout. It is such  simple way to make them fit your colour scheme and make the as bold or subtle are you like.

Jo here, tagging along again ;)

The WOW products featured below are the
barbed wire veneer
'Hello' circle chipboard

"Gigi & Jojo"

"Hello Kindy Adventure"

Don't be afraid to cut into your chipboard or veneer shapes.
There are no rules stating they have to be used in the original form ;)

All of these products are available now at your local scrap store, so be sure to get in and add some to your stash.
