April 30 -Tarrah, Kerryn & Sue

Hi there everyone!

Tarrah & Kerryn and Sue here with you today to share a card and layouts that have been created using the WOW April sketch.

Today is the last day to get your entries in for the sketch challenge....email your entries to challenges@websterenterprises.com.au or post to the WOW Facebook Page by midnight tonight.

This card uses the *New Release* WOW chipboard flourish that I have inked in blue..I used the top part of the sketch as inspiration for this card..

I think this layout is my favourite for the month and I have flipped the sketch upside down to achieve it. The *New Releases* featured here is the title Sn@p and New Chipboard Flourish.

I have used the *New Release* Easter Border AltaMATZ to draw the circles on the page with a black pen. Lots of yummy Stickles, in different colours, used to decorate the WOW pieces.

Sue here now, and my layout is almost identical to Tarrah's right down to the title used....I swear I didn't copy or even peak first!
So I have used the SN@P title and one of the new chippy flourishes cut in half. Plus for my vertical dots I used one of the new AltaMATZ with a mixture of modelling cream and black gesso.

Thanks so much for stopping by the WOW blog today...we hope you have enjoyed the sketch challenge and gotten heaps of inspiration from our creations using the sketch...stay tuned for winners of the challenge.....till next time...take care :)

Feb 19th

Hello...

Tarrah here with you today sharing a layout
I created using some of the February New Release.....

WOW products used:

Light Veneer Shells
'Endless Summer' Chipboard Title

*************

Sue here now with another layout using the new chipboard 'SLIP SLOP SLAP' title and showing how you can use these titles for a different layout subject other than what immediately comes to mind.

For my background I have used the 12 x 12 Round Pavers AltaMATZ in 3 separate mistings with some extra mist over the top for added interest.

I covered the chipboard title with rows of washi tape and then cut around the edges with a craft blade....a little bit fiddly but worth the effort I think.

Thanks for stopping by the WOW blog today... :)

Feb 10th

Hi All

San here popping past to share a layout I have just finished using one of the New Release words cut in Wood veneer from WOW. This one is cut from a dark wood and it looks really cool, without any extra enhancements for your title.

This is a new AltaMatz for the Feb release....I have used a grey texture paint and then added a Tim Holtz metallic embossing powder, then heated it all to melt the powder
The metallic effect is awesome.

Grab yourself some embossing powder and add it to some gesso, paint or texture paste, heat it and watch the fun!

Sue here now with I layout I created at a recent crop with some of the other girls from our WOW DT. For the background I have used one of my favourite AltaMATZ, the 12 x 12 Acid Burn using a mist just slightly darker than the Kraft cardstock to create a subtle depth for the layout.

For the title I used one of the the new February summer-themed releases from WOW, the word 'Beach' in light Wood Veneer which I left plain because the natural colour really goes well with the beachy theme

Thanks for dropping past and keeping checking the blog as we have loads more new release examples to share with you.

December 13th

'Twas the Night Before Christmas'
using chipboard Patchwork Christmas Tree - RWL9414

These cute chipboard Christmas trees come joined with a common base and have various patchwork details etched into them. All I did to decorate them was to colour in-between the lines with a fine point red marker and cut one of them away from the others to add higher up in the layout for balance.

Kim Kendell
I have chosen to share a pair of Christmas cards with you using the awesome wood veneers and chipboard banners in stars.

Card one uses the wood veneer Jingle Bells while card 2 uses the chipboard banner in stars.

I have left the word raw and sprayed the stars with Heidi swap gold mist.

'Deck the Halls'
using new chipboard 'Deck the Halls' title and 12"x12" Square Frame AltaMATZ - ALTA145

To create the background I partially sprayed the kraft cardstock with white ink using the 12"x12" Square Frame AltaMATZ and then accented some of the shapes with a white gel pen.

I painted the chippy title with Smooch ink in hot pink and then lightly with gold after chopping up the word.

I have turned three plain Manilla tags into cute Christmas tags using ink, stamps and ribbon.
They feature Mini Chipboard Christmas Baubles , New Release Wood Veneer 'Joy' and Dark Veneer Mini Christmas Tree all covered with Stickles and Dark Veneer Reindeers finished with a thick coat of Dimensional Magic.

December 7th

HO HO HO

.....christmas time means chrissy cards to send to friends and family.

with the internet, texts and such, we have almost lost the card giving in our lives. i personally love the going to the letterbox and getting a card from a friend. I send homemade cards, usually with a photo of Tom on it.

Here are a few cards I have made using WOW minatures

Card #1
Using the bell bauble in wood veneer

Card #2
washi tape tree with a wood veneer reindeer

 Card #3
christmas with stars bauble in wood veneer

Make a few cards this season for your loved ones using Words or Whatever products.
'Joy'
using 12"x12" Acid Burn AltaMATZ, 'Joy' chipboard title and new light wood veneer Candy Canes

For the background of this layout I used the 'Acid Burn' Alta MATZ sprayed with Glimmermist. I love how using this template gives you an instant base to build on.
The gorgeous mini candy canes pictured below are made from light wood veneer and come in 3 sizes, two of which I have used here. I coloured in some of the detail with gold Smooch ink, tied some little ribbon bows onto them and clustered them to one side of the photos - perfect embellishments for the layout.

To fit in with the colour theme of the layout I simply embossed the chippy word 'Joy' with a double layer of gold embossing powder.

We will be back again tomorrow with more inspiration for the festive season, all using the amazing Words or Whatever products, available through your local scrap suppliers.

December 4th

Tess here with you today sharing some of my December Daily album. This is my first year giving this a go and I am super excited about this project. We love Christmas in our house and I now have all of these other ideas that I am going to try and incorporate this year. I cant wait to see how this turns out.
For the album cover I have used the chipboard Star Border and embossed it in gold. I love the effect that it gives to the white space.

My title page is made using the new 'December Daily' chipboard title and the dark wood veneer doves. Aren't they gorgeous?

I have sliced a page down to make a little bit of an introduction to my album and came up with this using the chipboard star mini banner and one of the chipboard alphabets.

I have used the 'Trimming the Tree' dark wood veneer title on the small page. To make it fit I had to cut the Christmas tree off the end of the title, and found a home for it on my journal card.

'Christmas Card'
using chipboard Snowflakes

I love these chippy snowflakes which came up a treat with the addition of a layer of gesso topped off with fantasy white embossing powder which gives texture and a lovely subtle sparkle.

All of these products are now available through your local Words or Whatever stockist.

December 1st

Hello everyone...welcome to December 2013.

This month, just for something different, our fabulous Design team will be posting daily for you, just to keep you inspired for the holiday season.

Many of us are doing the December Daily challenge...so if you are, then watch how awesome the new release Christmas range from WOW works in your album.

I will start December with a layout of Ella on her first christmas....remember that WOW will make personalised chipboard titles for you, and we always have Christmas for each year available....so get onto your LSS to grab you some.

'Ella first christmas'
using chipboard title and presents

I have used a vintage photo ink, and some kindy glitz on the chipboard

'Christmas Card'
using new wood veneer 'Christmas Star' ornament

It is a little hard to see in these photos, but on the wood veneer ornament I have used some clear gloss medium to preserve the natural beauty of the wood and I coloured the 'Christmas' word with some gold Smooch.

Hope you enjoy what we have in store for you this month...be sure to pop in each day to see what we have been up to.
