Melissa's Week - Soccer

Today I am sharing a layout about our clubs Victory League Team, our daughter got to walk out with the team captain and she was very  pleased with herself :-)

I am loving the colour green at the moment and it always looks good with Kraft and Black and a splattering of white/cream...
For this layout I have used the following WOW products..
Corner Arrow Pack (WOW1626)

 Another of my favourite WOW products the 6x6 Circle Pack (WOW1613)

The Soccer Ball Border (WOW1213)

 Little Kids Border (WOW1452)

 I have used mists and inks and a white gel pen to colour the chipboard to match the colours in the layout.

Melissa's Week - Happy Birthday

One of my favourite Patterned Paper lines this year so far was the October Afternoon Cakewalk range, this works so well with the large range of WOW birthday chipboard...

For this layout I have used the Happy Birthday title, WOW370 which I have split into two and one of my favourite WOW products the Baby Banner WOW1469...

I then sprayed them with some Dylusions Pink Mist slightly darker than the other pinks on the page so it would pop out more.

I have also used the AltaMATZ Chevron Narrow ALTA009 and sprayed across the page to get the chevron pattern just in the centre of the page.

Melissa's Week - Step By Step

Today I am showing you a step by step process for completing this layout...

Firstly, I used the Chevron Narrow AltaMATZ (Alta009) and some Textrure Past to start the background on my cardstock.
The time it takes for your texture past to dry will depend on how thick you spread it, I used an old credit card to scrape mine over the mask.

I wanted a random look as you can see in the image above, next I took a grid and script stamp and randomly stamped over the page and masked area.

I grabbed a few pieces of patterned paper, cut them to different thicknesses and inked the edges, on two pieces I used a circle punch and cut a piece out of the end of the paper and the third piece I cut out a triangle section.

I then grabbed some other papers and cut them to different sized squares/rectangles, I love to mix and match patterns and colours.
I roughed the edges up with a Heidi Swapp distressor (one of the best tools out there!) and then inked.

I grabbed my photo and sanded the edges and adhered all of these to the cardstock once I was happy with the placement.

I have used the WOW1773 Christening title

Using my misting box I sprayed it with a pink mist and once dried I then stamped in white ink a script stamp over the top for added interest.

This is what it looked like on the page in close up...

To finish the layout off I added some embellishments, stamped a smaller saying at the bottom of the page and flicked some inks over the page...

Melissa's WOW Week!!!

Hi Everyone :-)

This is my first ever week with WOW, I hope I can inspire you to get out there and purchase some more WOW products as they are fantastic and very versatile!!!

Today I will be sharing a layout of my eldest daughter when she went to the Showcase National Dance Champs in Queensland.

For this layout I have used a number of WOW products, firstly I used the 'Life' AltaWORDS and placed it directly on to my page and lightly sprayed over the top with mist, I then carefully lifted the word up leaving the life image below...

I then used a selection of mists to spray the remainder of my chipboard and then highlighted the edges with some silver paint...

San back again to share a few quick layouts with WOW.

 Using the music chipboard, just raw (my fav form of chipboard). This is a layout of my POD at his end of year school concert. Bugger this 'dance like no-one is watching' we say...'dance like the world is watching' and show them how happy you are!

  Using the New Release AltaWord 'now' in 6x6. I have used some guesso over the word template, then added some black ink to the letters. There is also the new adder chipboard. 
These are just random photo strip photos of POD playing pool.

Again a layout with the Altaword, this time 'life' in 12x12. I have used white paint to cover the area around the template. That is also a WOW filigree butterfly.

These photos are of Ali messing about on the bed, laughing and giggling.

Hexagons are all the rage at the moment in the scrap world. On this page i have added random hexagons covered with patterned paper and then stamped on the top with a hexagon stamp.

This photo of POD was taken at Lake Conjola by Tanya from TMK photography for a surprise birthday for me.

 I really love the new Altawords, This is the 6x6 'cherish' and the New Release 'cog heart' I have covered the back of it with pattern paper and coloured in random cogs with a black sharpie.

This is a layout of POD and his favourite aunty Kim. She is an awesome aunt and SIL and bestie. Tom took her specs off her and tried them on, they share a very weird sense of humor.

I have used a WOW chipboard circle, corner and mdf camera, all inked
This last layout is a photo from Tanya again....POD found a dead hydrated rat...yuk!

quick hello ...............

Just popping in after a huge Easter weekend to share a few layouts with you

Hope you all have had an awesome break, ate lots of easter buns and chocolates and took lots of fun photos to be scrapped. 

Don't forget to have a look at our WOW March Challenge., have a go, you might WIN some great chipboard to play with.

 

This is a page of my son, Tom....he is nicknamed POD and we were out shopping and he found a store named after him. Live in the moment I say and enjoy the cool little stuff. he was very impressed! lol

I have used the MOMENTS title as a mask.

With our chipboard being of such good quality, you can re-use them a few times as a mask and then use the chip on your layout, awesome way to recycle and to make your scrap dollar stretch a little further.

 

 ....and heres the layout with the original title on it. This is a photo of the most yummy christmas icecream cake desert ever!!!. My SIL made it for our chrissy dinner at Nans this year. It was spectacular!

Im sure you can see how much the boys enjoyed it.

WOW week with San

Hey all

San here....... this is my week with WOW. 
I am keeping it simple, just going to share an OTP I made to start with and then during the week a few layouts using WOW.


The OTP is a recycle project. I just love the challenge when someone gives me an odd object and says"make this into something"... This challenge is the packaging of the new Prima wooden camera pack. It is a small open box with 9 small square dividers in it and is 13cmx13cm in size.....I have added heaps of bits to it, it will hang in my scraproom on the wall.

It is covered with 7gypsy tissue paper, inks and mists and then I have added some of my favourite pieces of WOW.

The lamp post is  coloured with black sharpie and the lights are then shades with chalk inks

  

One of my favourite New Releases is the wire with with butterflies on it, this is the small version. I have just used vintage ink and chalk ink on the butterflies to colour them.

...then I have added some random pieces of WOW....there is a small mdf camera.

Also a domino and some of the cute random hearts. 

 

I then added some random acrylic butterflies from WOW.

.....I do love me some metal, so I added some Tim Holtz goodness to the project.



Simply done and yet I am thinking rather cute with some inspirational words inside......it shall be off to the scraproom immediately. lol
