I love to play with Off the Page items, and Words or Whatever, have an awesome range OTP.
This would be one of my favorites of all times.
This owl was designed by the wonderfully talented Linda Baldock, and is available in 4 chipboard sizes as well as this 30cm MDF Owly (code LB044).
MDF is so versatile that it can, be painted, stained, covered with paper, threads....really the only barrier to how you prepare it is your imagination.
Here is what I did with the MDF Owly
My technique for this owl involved, covering top layer with texture paste and force drying it, painting and stickling. Next I covered the bottom piece of the owl, with a green PP, and stuck the two layers together. I inked the eye inserts with black and sat into place, then poured a resin compound into all the eyes, and all other crevices. After allowing that to dry overnight (in a well ventilated area), I assembled the painted wings.
Now I am off to play with an MDF Monster Truck Album.....so until next time.....head off to your LSS and get yourself a stash of WOW for your supplies.
