Hi Everyone,
This is a layout I did for a Lindy's stamp Gang colour challenge last month. It is a much softer palette than I usually go for but my daughter loved it.
I started with a 12 x 12 piece of chipboard so I could throw a lot of wet medium at it and it would hold up.
I used two different sizes in the butterfly mesh and I cut them into pieces so i could spred them out more.
I glued the mesh down first and then crumpled some book papers and glued them down in the focal area.
You then cover the lot with white gesso and let dry.
I always start with the lightest shade of colour I have chosen and work my way up. I let them dry in between and just add more as I see fit.
I then used coordinating embossing powder on the butterflies and the doyley corners used under the photo. The word YOU was heat embossed also.
Finished off with some metal and flowers.
Last of all get a texture stamp you like and some black archival Ink and add some interest to the back ground.
