A quick share by Sandra W.

Hi there everyone!
This month has been a very busy month in my neck of the woods and I am sure it is only going to get busier with Christmas just around the corner (EEK!!)

I only have a few quick shares today.

My first share is using the soon to be released "A Perfect Day" title.
and I also used some butterflies from the
Butterfly Set
I left the chipboard natural  (my favourite way to use chippie)
***Removed for Publication***

My second layout is for the current (still a few hours left!) November Challenge.
You can check out the details over on the WOW Facebook Group.

I just LOVE the Love You title with heart incorporated.
My daughter's t'shirt had a heart on it, and the heart fit over it perfectly.
I just used a couple of staples to attach it to the layout. .. too easy
Added a couple of WOW mini clouds to add a bit of whimsy.

I created my next layout for the Kraft Plus Challenges "Inspired by Pink" challenge.
The WOW leaves from the Mini Leaf Pack and a tiny heart from a WOW Heart Banner were perfect to tuck into my flower clusters.
All I did was add some add a touch of gold ink.

***Removed for Publication***

Well that is all from me this month..
Hopefully I will come up with something a little more exciting to share next time round.

Take care of you .. and don't forget to share with us YOUR creations using WOW over at the WOW Creations Facebook Group :-)

Almost a Teenager

Hello folks, hoping you are all well.
Peg here to share some WoW goodness today.
I have done a boy page using some new release chippies for November as well as some tried and true favourites.

I started by misting my white card using the 12x12 Moroccan chipboard as a stencil, rotating it clockwise for the second colour. This is also available as a stencil and both in 6x6 too.

I then stuck some cogs, from the 12x12 nesting set, in the corners and added some leftover cut-outs from the Moroccan chippy (these are a bit of a special treat as they are not yet stocked in the shop). I rubbed all the chippy with some Inka Gold- Graphite to give it a metallic look.

It didn't look quite right though, so I used a paint dauber to add some blue.

Next I layered some tissue paper, some New Release chipboard treated with Inka Gold-Graphite, my photo, and a title from my own design range painted to match the cogs. Journalling with Dymo - my fave.

And I thought it was finished so it went on my desk-top easel until I had time to get it into an album.
However..... the more I looked at it the more unfinished it appeared.

So I added some subtle diagonal stripes by sponging
black ink through the 4-in-1 Design 2 Altamatz, as well as adding a swirl border, from the New Release summer pack,
above my title.
Ahhhhh, now it's done!

So, have you checked out our inaugural monthly challenge, it's a beauty. You still have a few days to play along, anything goes as long as you use Wow products and post your creation on our FB page.
This is the page I created for it.

Thanks for coming by, have fun with the challenge, see you next time

Believe in Your Ideas

Howdy Folks,Lisa here with a blog update for all you creative WOW devotees.
Today I am sharing a double layout I created for the wonderful Kim Kendell.
Kim was super generous at a recent retreat auction and bid on a layout created by Me.
Awwww shucks,this baby belows' value,after the hammer fell,was a whopping $130.00.
 Humbled.....hmmmm OH YESSSS !
And i got to pick the photos to use, so this double was created.
How cool are these photos?
Photos of Kims Brother(in blue),Steve Balbi(of Noiseworks fame) and 1 rad young musician.
Playing with the colours of the Graffiti wall ,
I used acrylic paint to extend the wall to create flow across the double page.
Stamped a few words of empowerment,
then added a little freestyle white house paint across the pages to create a little random unity.
I then painted these awesome Messy Circle Frames from WOW
to highlight the focal points in my photos.
Its a busy layout, so I wanted to use the frames as the embellishments
and let the colour and life of this layout enhance the photos presented .

Thanks for dropping by the WOW blog,
I hope your inspired to get out your chipboard and paints .
Now go get Arty.

Take your WOW....OTP for a change

Hi everyone

San here to show you how I used some WOW on a canvas for a birthday gift for my mum
Its a fun way to make a gift, using photos or even just a quote for someone special.

With this canvas I used barbwire Alta-Matz with black, gold and silver spray paint to do the background.

Then i had some WOW chipboard small rectangles & i used all types of texture pastes, gesso, embossing powders & enamels along with AltaMatz to alter them.

I placed them randomly on the canvas and the printed mini half and quarter size photos of my son and nephews in black & white, shaved the edges and added them around those rectangles. The photos are in different heights using foam tape.

Grabbed a few other WOW chipboard pieces and some metal embellishments and added them to enhance the canvas.

Finally adding a WOW mini title to make it all about family.

I gave it my mum on her birthday.....& she loved it.

Make some one you love a canvas for a gift ..WOW have heaps of awesome titles that you can add and lots of very nice chipboard to enhance for it.

Thanks for dropping past.

Sharing my love of chipboard - Kerryn

Hi and welcome to the WOW blog this morning.
Kerryn here to share a few of my creations with you today.

I spent a weekend away a few weeks ago with some wonderful girls and never far from my side was a collection of my WOW chipboard and Wood Veneers. I scrapped up a storm (well for me anyway) so deciding what to feature today is my biggest decision.

The first page has a bit of grunge going on in the background and of course I love cutting out my boy to stand out. The chipboard piece was the perfect addition and so simple with everything else going on. The Barbed Wire was covered with brown ink as a base coat and then swiped with a bronze Metallic Rub to highlight different areas, giving it a fake texture finish. I've cut it into a few pieces a used it on different parts of the page.

The next page is simple and clean, another masculine page featuring both light and dark Wood Veneer pieces, most kept in their natural finish to work in with the page and the small circle heart coloured red.

For the final page today I have decided to go a bit girly! This is one of my gorgeous Great-Nieces and she was the willing assistant in one of my many hair-brained ideas.

The chipboard title The story goes like this WOW2348 and word Lovely WOW2390 were covered with black ink and then swiped with silver and bronze Metallic Rub. I love the mottled finish on the chipboard.

Vinatge Canvas with Tracey Henly

Now I was away at retreat when I made this so forgive me for not having step by step photo's for you.
I will give you the run down on how I did this.

I have used a 10 x 10 inch canvas.
These WOW chipboard pieces......
x 2

                                                     http://www.webster-enterprises.com.au/wow1858?filter_name=butterfly

Also Hinges, metal charms and paper flowers.

Take an altamatz of your choice and some texture paste and put it onto your canvas. Set aside and let dry.

While you are waiting for it to dry, cover your photo or in this case vintage postcard in mod podge matt. This seals the image and makes it easier to remove over spray if it happens.

Get all your chipboard and metal accents out of your stash ready to add to your background. My glue of choice is Helma 450 for my chipboard and metal.

I would just like to say at this stage that this technique is used on these layouts as well. I use 12 x 12 sheets of chipboard for more stability.

Once you have all your bits and bobs out glue them to your layout.
Keep in mind you need layers and I also keep some pieces to add after I colour the back ground.
When you happy with your placement cover everything over with white gesso.

I usually glue my photo into the layered pieces first but as you can see with the one of  Mady titled "you" and the one below with her girlfriend I have added them after. So this step will be up to you and how you would  like the finish layout to look.

Once your gesso cover is dry take your paint sprays and start colouring. Cover your photo if it is already on your layout with a couple of sheets of paper towel. Remember if any paint does get on you have a sealer over it and just wipe off with a wet one.

Always start with your palest colours first, let them dry or use a heat gun in between colours. I always find after I let it sit overnight that they have toned down heaps and I go back in and add more colour to deepen the tones if that is what I am after.

Your final step is to just add your flowers and whatever you left off. In the case of the vintage canvas I added the paper flowers into the centre of the metal flowers. I embossed the butterfly and the circle frame and stuck them on. then just a couple more metal accents on the frame.

You can also go in with some staz on or archival ink and stamps to add to your back ground.

thanks for looking
Tracey

Hi its Tanya here!!

I was very excited when I was asked to be part of such a talented team of artists, and getting to showcase a great product. There are so many great items available from Words or Whatever. The hardest part is choosing what you want to add to the stash!

Today I'm going to take you through a fun background you can use one your next layout, team it with some products from Words or Whatever to create a page with that WOW! factor.

To start with I used a sheet of white 12 x 12 watercolour card stock which I wet so that the colours bled into each other nicely, I used water colour crayons and mixed them up with some water on a pallet then applied it to the paper until I was happy with how it looked, I then dried it with a heat tool.

Next I stencilled with white ink over the top using WOWs AltaMATZ 6x6 Corner stencils (ALTA028) to create a Bokeh effect.

Then I used WOW Mini-Film strips ( WOW1857) Small Mixed circles (WOW2165) which I cut right down to fit into where I wanted it and the You Amaze me title (RWL511) and had a play with the layout on the page

Once I was happy, I coated the chipboard in versa mark and used black and gold embossing powder on the chipboard pieces.

I then glued everything down and then did some random stamping with gold ink on the page and added a few gold sequins to finish it off.

Well that's it from me, thanks for stopping by and I hope you give this technique a go... Be sure to share your results over  on our WOW Creations Facebook page, we love seeing what you have made!

Catch you all next time!
Tanya

A Card or Two and an OTP Project!

Hello there!!

Tania here with you today to share with you my first blog post for WOW Chipboard...... I have to say I was super excited when asked to join the WOW DT as they have so many gorgeous products.

First up I am going to show you some cards using a few of those gorgeous products.

I wanted to alter my chipboard to give it a grungy look but still wanted my cards to look girly if that makes sense?  I started by painting my chipboard with gesso, once dry I gave it a coat of rock candy crackle paint.  While the Triangle panel was still wet on the middle card I added a few sprinkles of rust powder.  I then finished off the chipboard by adding Glossy Accents to it.  The Mini Cogs have been left raw :)

"Birthday Cards"

For my first card I have used the Small Triangle Panel - WOW2425, Birthday Pack - WOW2381, Mini Cog Pack - WOW1568.

On the second card I have used a Flourish Frame - WOW247,  Circle Frame - WOW1252 and have again used the Mini Cogs - WOW1568.

On my last card I have used the Decorative Circle - WOW1577 and once more the Mini Cogs - WOW1568.

My second project to show you is WOW's Heart Shadow Box's which I have altered and I thought I would share with you how I did this.

"Angel Heart Shadow Box"

Once I had put the shadow box together I used some Tim Holtz tissue paper roll to do my first layer.  I shredded the paper, scrunched it up and then opened it back up.

I completely covered the whole heart as you can see below and adhered the tissue paper to the heart using Studio Multi Medium.

Next up I used AltaMATZ diamond shape stencil from 12X12-4-in-1-design-2 ALTA254 and some texture paste and randomly applied this over the shadow box.

This is the fun bit - decorating the box.  First, I sprayed the box with a couple of Mists, Pink from Kaiser and a Gold from Heidi Swapps Color Shine Range.

Once the mists were dry I then grabbed some Inka Gold in pink and Gold randomly applied this around the edges and raised sections.

The other WOW pieces I used are Doily #6 Heart - WOW950, Messy Hearts - WOW2230 Angel Pack - WOW2382 and Kristin Flourish - WOW2073 and I altered these by using my finger and rubbing on the Inka Gold paints randomly on the pieces until they were completely covered.

I finished off my Heart Shadow Box by embellishing it with lots of pretty blooms and lastly with a sponge, sponged gesso over sections of the box and flowers.

Here's a couple of close ups.

Well that's all from me today.  I do hope you have enjoyed the projects I have shared with you today.

Be sure to check out the Website for products and stockists and our new WOW Creations Facebook page. Can't wait to see your creations on there using all the gorgeous WOW products.

Until next time,

Tania xx
