Kerryn here today to squeeze in one more May New Release before we jump into June.

The layout I have to share with you features the wonderful Love This wood veneer Circle and the very cute wood veneer xoxo

This is my gorgeous great-niece having a blast with some bubbles on Easter Sunday. She always puts a smile on our face.

I have coated both wood veneer pieces with Fruit Punch Stickles, love this colour, it suits the papers and looks fabulous with the wood veneer peeking through.

Tarrah here with you again today sharing a layout that I created again using the awesome May *New Release* Wood Veneer truck and barb wire!

I pulled the colours from my photo when choosing my papers and embellishments..

Jo here for my last tag-along-post as guest designer for May. I've had SO much fun designing pages and inspiring you. Thank you to each and everyone of you who have left messages, I really appreciate it. A special thanks to Suzanne for having me on board and for allowing me to design the '♥you' shape.

So, without further adieu, here are two layouts, mixing older designs with new ones from this months release :) 

You can see here, the difference of applying an undercoat of white gesso. The 'Love' piece has the undercoat of white, then it was colour sprayed, whereas the 'savvy delights retreat 2013' just has the colour spray alone.

Tess here today to share a layout using Words or Whatever chipboard products. Are you loving what you are seeing this month? We would love to hear your feedback.

 I had a bit of fun with this layout and due to the colours needed the chipboard to stand out and not get lost. The simple solution is a good old black sharpie marker!

Has My Heart

How beautiful is this chipboard piece? It made the perfect accent for this layout and turning it black made it stand out.

To finish off this layout I have used a couple of the ornate corners that were released back in March. These have also been simply coloured in with a black sharpie marker.

Any form of texters can be used to alter your chipboard colours to match your layout. It is such  simple way to make them fit your colour scheme and make the as bold or subtle are you like.

Last year I was extremely lucky to travel to Croatia in Europe and oh my it is a gorgeous country! One of my favourite places there was Dubrovnik.....I have documented this in my layout...

I'm loving these size of this months pieces, perfect for PL/pocket-style scrapping and as embellishments on traditional sized scrapbooking pages too.

 This piece has been coloured with a distress stain. 
Perfect to give a hint of colour.

 This time round I wanted less colour, so I've used a white distress stain.

I love how it slightly altered the colour of the veneer and left the texture behind :)

Tess here again today with a quick bright layout, to warm up these cold days, using some of the new chipboard words as a title on my page. I love these as they have taken a lot of hard thinking out of title for me. It becomes a bit of a word game now to see how I can shuffle them around and make a new title.

Everyday Love

As these were the grey chipboard colour, I found they were not warm enough to match the colours in the layout, so I have inked them in a light layer of Tim Holtz vintage photo ink. I have also slipped a quick little light wood veneer XOXO in there too as an embellishment.

This piece was the same grey chipboard and has also been inked with vintage photo ink.

Jo here now, I'm jumping in to show you a few more pieces that I made a retreat a few weeks ago.

These were created for a challenge to scrap-lift the wonderful Gina Rogers. I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun it was. 

I've sprayed the chipboard with watered down gesso first, then coloured with dylusions colour sprays

"Stunning"

For something a little different, I slopped a heap of gesso onto the back of the chipboard and used that to adhere it to the layout.

Tess here again today to share a couple of quick layouts using the May new release wood veneer products.

XOXO DT Sista

To most, XOXO means kisses and hugs. In this case my friend Kimmy and I are both on a design team called XOXO, so these pieces fitted this photo perfectly. 

I have kept both of these pieces in their raw state and I think they are beautifully matched to this layout.

For this layout, I have used very similar pieces but in the dark wood veneer.

Always & Forever Happy

Both of these have been kept raw too to accent this page. So simple!

Hello!

Kerryn back again with my second project showcasing the new release Dark Veneers for May.

For this page I have used the fabulous 2 inch 'Hello March' disk for my take on PL'ing. LOL!

I've created a photo collage, capturing some favourite moments in March. The dark veneer pieces Hello 2014 and together have been kept in their raw state. I love the rich dark colour!

The new Wood Veneer globe has been coloured with Distress Ink.

Hi WOW lovers, Tess here today to share the first couple of layouts with the May new releases. I hope you are loving the inspiration the DT girls have put together with them. I know I am finding everything this month so very easy to use.

Just want to have fun

I have simply kept the light wood veneer raw. The warm tones of it matched the photo perfectly.

Yep, I did a double too! These chipboard pieces were perfect to embellish this layout too.

The Home of the Mighty Cubs

I have left the wood veneer pieces raw. How gorgeous is the world map?!

The barbed wire is raw chipboard. The Love This circle cut is chipboard and has been coloured with a navy blue sharpie to match the colours in the layout.

This barbed wire is raw light veneer.

I have found these items so easy to work with this month. Don't forget to order yours from your local scrap shop and add a bit of WOW to your next creation.
